Origin

Red Wing was once known as Carrie Levine, and she also had a older twin brother that was known as Jonathan Levine (Prestor Jon). He was also the son of two scientists of S.T.A.R. Labs, and it was thanks to some of their experiments that Carrie's mother was exposed to radiation a little before she was pregnant.

It is believed that it was thanks to this that both Jonathan Levine and Carrie Levine (Red Wing) were born as meta-humans with some strange and original powers. While Jonathan Levine was able to interface with any computer of the world his sister Carrie (Red Wing) had red wings that gave her the ability to fly ever since she was a little baby. Some years later the son of Donna Troy, Lord Chaos started to gain power and control over the Earth, he also started an attack against any meta-human on Earth giving them two options: Join Lord Chaos's forces or be killed by his might.

In a desperate attempt to save their children from Lord Chaos's forces, the Levines family decided to go underground to prevent anything to happen to the young kids, Jonathan and Carrie. However something unexpected and terrible happened, all the information about meta-humans that they had in their lab in S.T.A.R. Labs was taken by Lord Chaos and used against the meta-humans.

Thanks to this information, Lord Chaos was able to track meta-humans and eliminate them. It was only a matter of time until Lord Chaos was able to find the Levines family and kill the two scientists in an attempt to eliminate their sons because they were meta-humans. Some time after that Jonathan and Carrie Levine would become the heroes known as Prestor Jon and Red Wing and join the rebellion and after that the Team Titans.

Their field leader was a twenty years older version of Nightwing (It would later be revealed that he wasn't a grown up version of Dick Grayson), it was during the time that Red Wing and Preston Jon were new recruits that Red Wing and Nightwing started a relationship that was based in a mentor/sidekick relationship.

Back to the past

One day the leader of the Team Titans decided to make one risky and dangerous mission. The Team Titans would travel 10 years into the past to kill Donna Troy in an attempt to stop Lord Chaos from being born. Of course this had to be made before Donna Troy was able to give birth to his son (The future Lord Chaos).

The first part of the mission was successful and the team of the future (Team Titans) were able to go back to the past before Donna Troy gave birth to Robert Long. When the Team Titans tried to kill Donna Troy they encountered the team of Titans from the present (the new Teen Titans) and fought them.

However before the team titans could kill Donna Troy she gave birth to his son. Although the mission looked to have failed the Teen Titans and the Team Titans were able to stop the future ruled by Lord Chaos without killing Donna Troy. After the mission was accomplished the Team Titans were trapped into the past, with no way to return home. Without any options they decided that they would stay on that era until they could find a way to go back. In an ironic twist they accepted the offer of Donna Troy to live in her farmhouse in the city of New Jersey. After that they decided to investigate this time line and find where they belonged in it.

When Redwing and Preston Jon were investigating this time line they discovered that the couple of the Levine actually had two twin girls instead of a boy and a girl. This made Prestor Jon and Red Wing be really confused without knowing the reason of the mystery. Redwing attended school and tried to find her way in this strange new world. It was shortly after this that Carrie began to mutate into a more birdlike form, complete with talons and a beak. She also became more savage and went by the name Warbird.

Erased from history

In this time crisis was revealed that the real leader of the Team Titans was the being known as Monarch (Previously known as Hawk). The Team Titans were actually beings that were from a false future created by Monarch, who wanted to have sleeper agents that would serve him as assassins in order to help him to rule the entire time line. That future also had another purpose. It would help Monach to train young meta-humans and have a bigger and more powerful army against the heroes of all generations.

Monarch (Now as Extant) absorbed the power of Waverider and used it to take advantage of the incoming time crisis. Using the army that he created, along with the Team Titans, he attacked the world's heroes who wanted to stop the time crisis.

However Extant's plan was unsuccessful and the Team Titans were defeated by the Earth's heroes. At the same moment, time started to collapse. This made all the parallel and false time lines erased from existence. As another result the Team Titans were erased from history and disappeared. The only three team titans members that weren't eased were Terra II, Mirage, and Deathwing because it was revealed that they were from the present time line and that Extant had taken them from there, erasing their memories to make them part of his army. Redwing didn't have the same luck and had the same fate that the other members; erased from history; no one would remember her because she never truly existed.

It hasn't been stated if a Red Wing from the present will appear in the DCU, only time will tell

Powers & Abilities

Redwing's wings enabled her to fly, and she became very skilled in maneuvering. She also had enhanced tracking skills. Additionally, as Warbird, she had razor sharp talons.
