Nothing is known about Ratchet Jaw's origin. At some point he joined up with Boss Glitter's criminal organization, and was set to work with Kriegler.
Creation
Kriegler was created by Keith Giffen, Tom Bierbaum, and Mary Bierbaum. He made his first appearance inThe Heckler #2.
Major Story Arcs
The Heckler
Ratchet Jaw and Kriegler are sent by Boss Glitter to kill John Doe, who is trying to turn the entirety of Delta City generic. Ratchet Jaw is distracted by the Heckler, and chases him through the woods. They fight, until they are interrupted by Minx, who kills the generic Kriegler and shoots Doe. Ratchet Jaw declares his job finished, and flees into the woods.
Powers and Abilities
Ratchet Jaw possesses a mechanical lower jaw which can unhinge to reveal a gun, which is fed through an ammunition belt attached to his chin.
