Very little is known about Necrot's origins. At some point he joined up with or was created by Coal, working at the Necropolitan Club and on his efforts to create addictive technology.
Creation
Necrot was created by Ann Nocenti and Trevor McCarthy. He made his first appearance in Klarion #1.
Major Story Arcs
Klarion
Necrot helps Coal manage his technology, and is responsible for monitoring the members of the Moody coven. Though worried by the potential for the technology to get out of their hands, he nonetheless works to further Coal's aims and helps spread the buddybot technology. Following Coal's defeat, Necrot remains with him as he prepares to begin his new schemes.
Powers and Abilities
It is unclear what powers or abilities Necrot possesses, if any. He may be partially robot, as he is described as having been programmed. He may also be a form of zombie or revenant, and he describes himself as "rotting," and requires nanobots for structural integrity.
