In one of the Martian Manhunter, J'onn's origin stories, he grows up as a martian and marries M'yri'ah who bears him a child, K'hym.
Alas, their roles are ones of tragedy as both M'yri'ah and K'hym die from a virus that J'onn's twin brother, Ma'alefa'ak, unleashed on Mars, succeeding in its goal to destroy the entire race (except for J'onn who had been teleported to Earth).
This story may or may not transfer over to the New 52.
