Katie loves her father. Her father is a reformed henchmen of villains like the Calculator but, he wasn't always that way.

He loves Katie and her mom very much he has pet names for her like "Pun'Kin" and Katie Doll". He has always had a hard time finding work and because of this he works as a henchman for various villains. Katie tries to encourage her father on one of his birthdays and she gives him a new tie. The perfect present for his interviews.

On one of Eddies capers he helps the Blue Beetle from the Calculator. Beetle then helps Eddie with the police and promises him a job at Kord industries when ever he is able to work. The hope is that he can finally be the father to Katie that he has always wanted to be.
