This Nazi Gorilla may have first appeared in 1980's Weird War Tales #89 which featured the Primate Platoon fighting for and against the Nazi's. It is certainly what the Gorilla calls the Nazi Gorilla's under his command when he appears in Tales of the Unexpected (Volume 2) #2-#8 fighting Doctor 13, Lord Andrew Bennett (a vampire), Captain Fear (a ghost), and Anthro (a caveman) having kidnapped Traci Thirteen.

Julius is converted to a Vampire by Andrew Bennett as a way of saving the Vampire after he had been run over by a Subway Train. He was renamed by the Architects as Pryemaul, but goes on to help defeat them as part of Team 13.

Pryemaul is not seen again until he is part of Gorilla Grodd's plan to take over a superhero less American town called Pleasantville along with Monsieur Mallah, the Gorilla Boss of Gotham City, Mob Gorilla Boss, Ultra-Humanite, and Titano. The primates are stopped by some Meddling Kids, Sam Simeon, Detective Chimp, and some quick thinking from Congorilla.
