Very little is known about Helen Helligan. At some point she joined the FBI, where she became a metahuman specialist.

Creation

Helen Helligan was created by Grant Morrison and Simone Bianchi. She made her first appearance in Seven Soldiers: Shining Knight #3.

Seven Soldiers of Victory

Helligan is called in to deal with the sudden appearance of Sir Ystin in Los Angeles. Together with Dr Gloria Friday, she works to uncover whether the knight is a metahuman or a time-traveller. They interview Ystin, and despite Dr Friday's efforts to impede communication, Helligan realises that Ystin is warning of a coming invasion. Dr Friday reveals herself to be the Sheeda queen Gloriana and bites Helligan, poisoning her. Later, still suffering the effects of Gloriana's poisoned kiss, Helligan investigates the deaths of the Seven Soldiers on Miracle Mesa. She hires Bulleteer to accompany her to interview the Hand about Nebula Man. Based on this interview and other information she has gathered, she realises that the Sheeda are from the future. She has Bulleteer rush her to her sister's wedding, where she warns her sister that the man she is about to marry is a werewolf. Finally succumbing to the poisoned kiss, she dies.

Powers and Abilities

Helen Helligan has no known superhuman powers or abilities. She is a trained FBI agent, and thus has knowledge of armed and unarmed combat, as well as investigative techniques. She is very intelligent, and well-known for her ability to look at the big picture and recognize patterns in even the most complex and disparate data.
