Halk Kar
Halk Kar came from the planet Thoron, which is in the same solar system as Krypton. He's Kal-el's honorary brother in a couple of Silver Age stories He has returned recently as member of the Superwatch.

Halk Kar visited the world of Krypton shortly before its destruction where met Kryptonian scientist Jor-El. On his homeward trip, his rocket was knocked off course when Krypton exploded. Halk Kar eventually came to Earth where he met Superman. The two initially believed they were brothers. Eventually Halk Kar returned to Thoron, but he remains a close brother like relationship to Superman.
Halk Kar is an antecedent to legionnaire Mon-El -- even their initial appearance is similar.
In recent stories, shown in the Green lantern series, Halk Kar has returned as member of the United Planets Supewatch. He has show a more arrogant attitude and security.
