The Green Lantern of Sector 2020 was a member of an unnamed winged species of avian humanoids.  During the Sinestro Corps War, both factions massed in New York City for a final battle and control of Earth.  Alongside Sinestro, the "Guardian" of fear, the Anti-Monitor, arrived on Earth intent on conquering the planet and enslaving it's people. 

Sodam Yat was among the gathered Lanterns who witnessed the Anti-Monitor's arrival on Earth.  An impulsive and overconfident Yat, flushed with the power awakened in his Daxamite body by the Earth's yellow sun, and emboldened by his recent victory in destroying Ranx the Sentient City, ignored orders and launched a frontal attack against Sinestro and the Anti-Monitor.  He was joined by Soranik Natu, and unknown wraith-like Lantern of burning green energy, and the Green Lantern of Sector 2020.  The Anti-Monitor turned on this small threat, and with little effort, blasted a torrent of energy that vaporized the Green Lantern of Sector 2020.  Yat and Natu survived, while the ultimate fate of their unnamed compariate is unknown.

Presumably the Green Lantern of Sector 2020 was memorialized in the Crypts of Oa alongside his fellow Corpsman who died during the war.
