Edwar was in a hospital when a reporter named Auerbach found him intending to do a story on him. Edwar can feel fears and materialize them. Auerbach took him to the basement of his news building and after attaching him to machines to channel his powers he began a crimes wave as Spin having Edwar use his powers to help by watching the News. However the Flash soon found their base and the two summoned Gorilla Grodd to stop him, but he was angered by being taken against his will and attacked them causing him to be freed resulting in him losing control and materialzing anything he picked up. However Flash, Jai and Iris stopped.
