History

Dela Pharon first appeared when a group of Zamarons chose her to be their new queen and gifted her with the Star Sapphire Crystal. However, another group of Zamarons felt that Carol Ferris would serve as a better queen to their people. Angered by this dissension, Pharon went to Earth and attacked Ferris to be rid of the competition. Ferris, herself, reverted to her own Star Sapphire persona and the two women entered into a super-powered duel. Ferris appeared to come out the winner and set out to challenge Green Lantern Hal Jordan. Ferris defeated Jordan, as well, and rook him to Zamaron where she planned to force him to marry her. However, Jordan discovered that Carol was actually Dela in disguise and that Carol was on Xanador living Dela's life. Hal Jordan found Carol and, having brought her back to Zamaron, defeated Dela and returned with Carol to Earth.

Through an account told by Carol Ferris, Dela Pharon continued serving as Star Sapphire. As fate would have it, Dela was in love with the Green Lantern of Sector 1416, who also happened to be from Xanador. Dela courted with the Green Lantern until, eventually, the two fell in love and became mates. However, due to the violet gem's influence, Pharon's extreme interpretation of "love" caused her to encase her lover and their world in violet crystal so that their love would last until the end of time.

Dela Pharon's activities since then have not been recorded, but it can be assumed that she has joined the newly formed Star Sapphire Corps.

Death

When the Dark God Karnell attacked Zamaron, Dela Pharon led the Star Sapphires in their fight against him. However, she was no match for his power and was incinerated.

Powers & Abilities

Star Sapphire Power Ring

Flight and Space Travel: She can surround herself in an energy field and fly within a planet's atmosphere or through outer space. In space, she can generate an interstellar space warp to travel between solar systems at great speed.

Energy Blasts, Shields, and Constructs: She can fire energy beams with destructive power, generate energy shields for defense, and create energy constructs that can take the form of anything she can imagine. The power of these is proportional to her ability to tap into and believe in the love within her heart.

Sapphire Crystals: She can surround others in a prison of sapphire crystal to show them what they love most, as well as bring out the love that may be buried in their hearts.

Heart Tethers: A heart tether can bring her to someone she loves or guide her to where love is threatened out among the stars.

Teleportation: She is able to teleport herself and others on an interstellar scale, provided she can harness enough love to power it.

Healing: She can use the power of love to heal even normally fatal wounds. Conceivably, she could also even bring someone back from the dead (as fer fellow Star Sapphire Corpswoman, Miri Riam, did once).

Heart Prophecies: She can use her power to look into someone's heart and show them a vision of their future.
