While working as a EMT in Gotham City, Archie is called by Amanda Waller to help her collect something from Dr. Hate. Even though she won't give him more information, Archie excepts the mission, when he realizes the fate of the world is at stake.
As Deadeye, Archie travels the world trying to catch Dr. Hate, only to learn the mystic has gone to the Kingdom and he is forces to follow to server the connection Dr. Hate has to a Magic Rock.
With the help of Vixen, Superman, Batwing and other heroes, Deadeye is able to free Dr. Hates prisoners, get control of the Magic Rock and capture the villain. He returns Dr. Hate to Amanda Waller, never learning that Amanda was using Dr. Hate for her own plans, but Vixen and Bat-wing ask him to join their team.
Later, Deadeye, Vixen and Captain Boomerang track down Black Manta and change him back from his Beast Human hybrid.
