Darshan works at the Gotham Botanical Gardens when Luisa Cruz is killed and is the one who finds Eric Grimley's body. He turns to Dr. Pamela Isley for help and learns she is really Poison Ivy when he stumble in on her meeting with Catwoman. He then helps them break into the secret Lab inside the Gardens. There he calms Pamela down when she is about the bring the building on top of them all when she discovers someone has been creating Sporelings with her research.

Later, he becomes the Sporelings only friend, teaching about stuff like Karaoke. He then helps them kill a abomination of Grimley. He then helps the Sporelings take a bus south out of Gotham without Poison Ivy knowing where they were going.
