After Wayne Tech lost contact with archeologist Abel Barrett in the Amazon Jungle, Batman stepped in to discover the reason for his disappearance. Together with a five-person government special forces team known as Deadman's Hand that had been hired to investigate a site near where Barrett had disappeared, Batman found Barrett's body in a crashed alien spaceship, having died after being used as a host body for one the Xenomorph Warriors they came across at the site. Based on the number of human and alien corpses present and the nature of their deaths, Batman deduced that only three of these alien warriors were present, with one being killed in a suicide explosion by one of the Dead Man's Hand. Batman had no way of knowing of the crocodile however that unwittingly stumbled across a Xenomorph egg in a cavern and became impregnated by a Xenomorph Facehugger.

After Dead Man's Hand were cut down to only two members by the alien warriors, they and Batman came across an ancient Mayan structure hidden in an underground cavern - a structure Batman presumed based on hieroglyphics that had been used for ritual sacrifices in the past. As Batman and the two survivors tried to make it out of the cavern and escape the Xenomorphs, the aliens tracked them down. One wound up being destroyed with an explosive device by Batman, while the other was placated when Hyatt of the Dead Man's Hand let it take her only remaining partner. She then double-crossed Batman when the way out was in sight so that she would be the only survivor and receive all the recognition for the discovery of the Xenomorphs, which she intended to be sold as bio-weapons. As she was about to shoot Batman however, the Xenomorph that hatched from the crocodile appeared and brutally killed her. The Crocodile Alien then set its sights on Batman and pursued him up the steps of the Mayan sacrificial structure. Batman was at most able to make some superficial wounds on the massive alien, but its acid blood melted through the Mayan structure, revealing to Batman that it was built on top of a lava pit. Making the creature bleed enough for its acid blood to wear away the floor of the Mayan structure, Batman swung away on a Batarang cable as the Crocodile Alien fell into the lava pit and burned away in the molten rock.

Powers & Abilities

The Crocodile Alien presumably possessed all the characteristic traits of Xenomorphs, albeit on a much larger scale. It was fast, agile, had razor-sharp claws, fangs, a long prehensile tongue with fangs, and acidic blood. Its size made it undoubtedly much stronger and more durable than the average Xenomorph, and it possessed remnants of scales from its host - most likely adding to its durability.
