Creation

Brandon Kent was created by Phillip Kennedy-Johnson and Scott Godlewski. He made his first appearance in Future State: Superman: House of El #1.

As noted later on in comics, Brandon formerly held the alias of Superman.

History

Theand'r Ban-El

At some point in his life, Brandon and a Tamaranean woman had a daughter named Theand'r Ban-El. For whatever reason, the Tamaranean woman is not in the picture, so Brandon presumably raised his daughter as a single parent.

Alura Van-El and Khan-El's Wedding

Under the alias of Superman, Brandon attended Alura Van-El and Khan-El's wedding along with other family members. That was until Pyrrhos arrived and attacked, sending everyone but Superwoman to the Phantom Zone. There, Brandon got protective over Theand'r as the group tried to figure out some way to escape. After Cyborg Superman showed up and saved Khan-El, the group decided to trust him when he wanted to lead them to something that could help them, against Brandon's wishes who did not trust him. Brandon turned out to be right because after Cyborg Superman gave the group a device that opened up a portal they could escape through, he stole the device and ran off with it. Nonetheless, the group returned, saved Superwoman, and defeated Pyrrhos and his army for the time being. They finished Alura and Khan-El's wedding.

Death

Years later, the group was up against Pyrrhos and his army again, this time desperate to save planet Earth from his forces. Brandon was once again worried about his daughter's safety, much to her annoyance, and he had a brief conversation with Khan-El about his worry. Khan-El revealed that he, too, worried about his wife but knew better than to voice it. Later on, Brandon sacrificed himself to save Theand'r, leaving her devastated.

Powers

Brandon possesses the standard Kryptonian power set and is skilled in combat. He also presumably has the necessary parental skills needed to raise a child.
