Bradbury was a small time arsonist, who was belived that the ghost of Benjamin Franklin drive him to his crimes. He was eventually caught and sen to Arkham Asylum.

As Neron's evil spread throughout the world, Bradbury was still imprisoned in Asylum. Playing poker game with other inmates such as Two-Face and Riddler in the mess hall, during a thunder storm, he started to say, that he can do the "same thing" as Benjamin Franklin. When fellow prisoner denied that he could do that, Two-Face proposed to allow his coin to decide. After toss, he informed him that, the indeed "can do that".

When a fight breaks out in the hospital room, Bradbury suddenly makes a dash for the window. He quickly scales the side of the hospital wall and a bolt of lightning strikes Bradbury dead as he is clinging to a weather vane. A moment later, the entire asylum was plunged into darkness due to a short circuit, resulting from the sudden increase of energy.
