First issue:
Ilshu Nor was a member of the Heroes of Lallor, using his powers to transform into any animal and to control any animals to help his planet of Lallor. However, the natives of Lallor were scared of his power, and he grew resentful. Ilshu left the team, the only member of the Heroes of Lallor to do so, for the planet Vorn, which is primarily inhabited by animals. He tried to get rid of any people on it, which attracted the attention of the Legion Of Super-Heroes. However, Beast Boy escaped before they were able to apprehend him. Eventually, he died while trying to save a girl that he was friends with. He has a memorial on Shanghalla.
At some point in his career Beast Boy became friends with Ornitho of the Wanderers. They formed a bond over their similar powers and teamed up for occasional adventures.
