Origin

Little is known about Alistair Harper. Born in Scotland, he lived there for most of his life, finding employment in organised crime. He at some point emigrated to London to escape the growing terrorism in Scotland. In London he remained head of an organised crime ring.

Creation

Harper was created by Alan Moore and David Lloyd. He made his first appearance in Warrior #19.

Major Story Arcs

V for Vendetta

Visiting the Kit Kat Keller, Alistair encounters Gordon Deitrich and Evey Hammond before their night is interrupted by Robert having a drunken breakdown. He joins in the attack on Robert. He chases down and murders Deitrich over a criminal dispute. During the time without surveillance he sells a firearm to Rosemary Almond. At the Kit Kat Keller he is offered a job by Peter Creedy to help bolster the forces of the Finger during the ongoing rioting. He is invited to a meeting by Helen Heyer, who convinces him to switch his loyalties to her husband, Conrad Heyer, promising that he will run the Finger in Heyer's new regime. She seduces him to ensure that he remains loyal to her side, wrongly believing that the camera in her bedroom is no longer functional. Following Adam Susan's death, acting on Helen's orders, Harper attacks and kills Creedy with a straight razor. Returning to the Heyer household, he is confronted and killed by Conrad wielding a wrench, whom he also manages to kill.

Powers and Abilities

Harper has no superhuman powers or abilities. He is a vicious fighter, skilled with a straight razor, and a competent leader and criminal.
