Stuart lowe was one of three scientist affected by an accident in the future world of Batman Beyond. He gained the ability to become a being of two dimensions making him possible to strech and twist in fantastic ways. He and his partners became the superhero group Terrific Trio.

However the same radiation than give him his powers alo was driving him mad and killing him. Eventually they clashed against the batman of that time (Terry mcGinnis) and were recluded in hopes of being cured.

Personality

Out of the three members of the Terrific Trio, 2-D Man was a comical hero who often made self-deprecative jokes regarding his powers and criminals. In private, however, he could be accusatory and serious when the situation called for it. Along with his fellow heroes, he went insane following the discovery of how their accident occurred, and completely lost all sense of right and wrong.

2-D Man's body was altered by experimental radiation into a state where his body is rendered as flat as paper. This enables him to stretch great distances. His body can cushion or repel anything, and his paper-like quality makes for great infiltration or tying up people.

Like the rest of the Terrific Trio, 2-D Man's body begins to break down, with the idea that he he inevitably would have degenerated into nothing.
