Origin

Unlike her sister, Raven chose to keep her birth name but to add “Hex” as her magic name. Her family tried to be open about their beliefs but it caused strife at school. During a “fight,” Raven retaliates by sending a large tree branch on some assailants. She and her sister ended getting expelled. Raven’s father retaliated by burning down the school. The town tried to retaliate as well and the father ultimately dies. This event turns Raven against humanity. She forsakes the Black Rose Coven and opts to have a more sinister tattoo grace her body. She vows to exact her revenge on humankind and commits herself to studying Necro-Magick in hopes of raising her father from the dead.

Creation

Written and drawn by Jim Balent with assistance by Holly Golightly.

Witch War

Raven Hex hates mankind for the way they have treated witches (and other magickal creatures). She especially hates the townspeople of Salem, blaming them for the death of her father. Having stolen a forbidden book of dark spells, she intends to use it to bring her dream of magickal supremacy to fruition by bringing about a time of terror for mankind and prosperity for all followers of the craft.
